S&W M&P Shield 9mm, as a Zombie Killer?
Smith and Wesson’s new M&P Shield 9mm and .40 S&W is S&W’s new concealed carry gun. Do you feel this would be good for backup gun or carry gun competition shooting too? For small gun matches it is a real contender and with 8 rounds you could compete in Zombie Shooters Association matches. One big advancement it has is a built-in audible and tactile reset of the trigger on it which is often added as a RAM on the full size M&Ps from Apex Tactical. It does not have an interchangeable back-strap like the full size and compact M&P’s do to keep down the size of the grip. The trigger pull is 6.5 lbs with the same safety engagement trigger found on the full size M&P. It is 1″ thick 4.5″ high and 6″ long weight is 19 oz. with an external safety for carrying chamber. We are giving it a thumbs up as an extra Zombie gun! What are your impressions?
