Zombie Shooters Association Honors The Fourth of July – Independence Day, a little history

4th of July - Independence Day at Zombie Shooters AssociationIndependence Day honors the birthday of the United States of America and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.”

This is a time to remember those that have given so much for our independence but also to remember that the Constitution of the United States did not get completed until September 17, 1787, 11 years after our freedom from England. The Second Amendment that allows us to have a Zombie Shooters Association came into existance December 15, 1791, 4 years later. The first full length Zombie Movie (White Zombie) did not occur till 1932, 141 years after the Second Amendment. Zombie Shooters Association came into existance in 2011, 79 years after the first full length Zombie movie, 220 years after the Second Amendment, 224 years after the Constitution of the US and 235 years since The Independence Day of America.

A humbling perspective, isn’t it?

We have gratitude to all that brought us here today and and may you all have a safe and fun Fourth of July!
